July 2015 Staff Visit Report

Dr Jon Fuller and Dr Tim Crocker-Buque went out to Aksum over the summer. Dr Crocker-Burque gave some valuable teaching to the masters students/ GP's on conducting research, to help strengthen the research aspect of the partnership. Meetings were held with the Dean of Aksum Medical School Dr Abraham and some goals were set for the partnership. These include collaborative research, mass PBL teaching for GP's and the involvement of specialist doctors in the UK to come over to Aksum and teach. There is also the exciting prospect of a upcoming conference in March held in Wollega involving Barts and the London, Aksum, Wollega and Exeter!
